Show Notes

Design is all about learning while doing. Its hallmarks are a flexible, iterative approach to complex problem-solving, as well as a set of tried-and-true techniques for identifying a problem, exploring possible solutions, and then prototyping what seems most promising. But did you know that design also involves empathy? That it involves listening and humility? In this episode Kat Jones of the Design Institute for Health at Dell Medical School, part of the University of Texas at Austin, explains how "design thinking" is transforming health care delivery, and why this has profound implications for mental health.
