Show Notes

What is peer support? Is it simply a new profession or an attempt to make mental health treatment more efficient? Not hardly. As Chacku Mathai, CPRP and director of the NAMI Star Center, explains in this episode, peer support's ultimate purpose is systems transformation. Chacku shares lessons learned from his own recovery, and discusses the challenges and the opportunities for integrating peer support in throughout the health care delivery system.
